1. What is an Initial Disclosure Document?
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the independent regulator of financial services. The FCA require us to provide you with a document called an 'Initial Disclosure Document'. This document provides information about us, the products we offer, the services we will provide, what we charge for our services, who regulates us and what to do if you have a complaint. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.
2. Who Regulates Us?
Custom Vehicle Contracts Ltd Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the independent regulator of financial services.
The Custom Vehicle Contracts Ltd Firm Reference Number (FRN) is 943984. We are permitted to act as a finance broker for finance to purchase, lease or rent motor vehicles. You can check this on the FCA's website www.FCA.gov.uk/register or by contacting the FCA on 0300 500 8082.
3. Whose products do we offer?
We offer products from a limited number of finance companies. Please ask us for a list of finance companies if you require one. We are a credit broker, not a lender.
4. Which service will we provide you with?
We will provide product information to allow you to make an informed decision after we have assessed your needs for:
• Personal & Business Hire purchase
• Personal & Business Contract Purchase
• Business Lease purchase
• Personal & Business Contract hire
• Business Finance Lease
You will then make your own choice about how to proceed. You will receive the pre-contract credit information which will detail the Terms & Conditions of the product you have chosen and advise you about any other fees and interest relating to the product.
5. What will you have to pay for our services?
We will charge a Service Fee for the sourcing of the vehicle and our services. Please see the details specified in our Information Notice by accessing the following link https://customvehiclecontracts.co.uk/information-notice/
We do not charge a fee for the introduction to the finance provider; however, we may receive a commission from the finance provider, either a fixed fee or a percentage of the amount you borrow, if you decide to enter into an agreement with them.
As a credit broker we can introduce you to a limited number of finance lenders and products to assist you with your purchase. These finance providers may pay us a commission for introducing you to them.
We may receive an income from the introduction of our customers to our panel of funders and/or from the supply of vehicles or goods. The commission we receive depends on the type of product offered, manufacturer and finance company used. The income we receive may be pre-set but can also vary and may therefore impact the monthly rental that is payable.
You will receive a quotation which will tell you about any other fees relating to a finance product.
At any point prior to a credit agreement being made you may request information relating to the likely amount of finance commission we receive from our finance partners. This may be verbal or in writing. We will confirm the ‘likely amount of commission we will receive in writing within 7 days.
6. What to do if you have a complaint?

We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 5 working days, investigate your complaint and endeavour to send you a final response within 8 weeks of receipt of the complaint. If we are unable to provide you with a final response within this time we will send you an update. If you are not happy with our final response you can at escalate your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman, you will receive a leaflet detailing this with your final response letter.
As we are Leasing Broker members of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, any unresolved disputes may be referred to the BVRLA by either the customer or Custom Vehicle Contracts. Details should be submitted online at https://bvrla.co.uk/consumer-advice/making-a-complaint-adr.html
